Not a vegetarian at all but decided to go to this place because the place next door where I usually get my açaí bowls was closed. Didn't have too much time saw this place literally next to it so decided to try this place out. I'm glad I did the food was absolutely delicious. I got the fries with mole topped with some mushroom. Hot and delicious. Very generous portions with some hot salsa on the side. Who knew vegetarian food could be so delicious. You can order on a screen computer kind of like a kiosk or the guy behind the counter can do it for you. The ambiance was nice relaxing and had a theme going for it. Overall I'm glad to discover this place quick to make your food and the food was absolutely delicious.

I have not been to many vegan restaurants but I would say phatties definitely will not make you miss meat at all. So many of their dishes are made with meat alternatives that satisfies your pallet. All their dishes are intricately plated with so much fresh ingredients, seasoning and massive flavor.

Phattie's has the best Beyond Steak burritos I've ever had, and they're vegan! The portions are super generous--I ran 16 miles and still only managed to finish two-thirds of it. The cucumber mint lemonade was also a standout, perfectly refreshing and not too sweet. Also love that you can order online. Quick and easy check out. Highly recommend this place!

My boyfriend found this restaurant on Yelp for lunch and when we arrived, we didn't realize this restaurant was 100% vegan! Vegan Mexican foods, what a nice surprise! It's located next to Tokyo Express in Mission Square in Escondido. There's a parking lot with quite a bit of stalls. We got different things on the menu to share with. We got the Surf & Turf Burrito, Beyond Steak Asada Burrito, and the Quesadilla with Chicharron. All the plates came with chips to snack with. We, for some reason, got a side of Chips & Salsa even with all the chips that came with our meals LOL. Wow, thoroughly impressed by the quality of the food! Everything was soooo good - I wouldn't have known the all the ingredients were vegan if I was given my food blindly! I feel that my favorite would be the quesadilla as there was a ton of flavor in there. But my burrito was equally delicious so I can't really choose. Yum! I couldn't fully enjoy the asada burrito experience as there was too much food for me. But my mom seemed to enjoy it! Even as leftovers, they were still really good (besides the soggy wrap). Overall, a pleasant unexpected surprise of vegan Mexican food. It was definitely a great experience and would love to come back for more if I'm ever craving Mexican up in Escondido. Great restaurant for vegetarians who want Mexican!
